The point is chris is for other people like me who might have come across a coin like this so that they can know that there are counterfeits that looks very like a real coin and wont waste money (which Im still tempted to send to pcgs) to get these graded. I honestly believe this coin was made out of the same material as a liberian quarter made by the US mint that some worker decided to make a double sided heads quarter out If bordom. Of course after many peoples opinions on here, I just assumed that the coin was a counterfeit based on the more active members' statement. If you look at the first three comments left by you and two others, they were unnecessary to the whole "entertainment" / "educational" aspect of this post. They do not help other members who are new as well as less knowledgeable in this hobby and it will definitely discourage new members from posting coins that could possibly be amazing discoveries. Maybe it might have been a waste of time for you guys but it could be educational for others as well as have entertained them. Forums are suppose to help people not have members leave comments like "nope, not it" or "better luck next time". This in no way provides any sort of information, all it does is leaves discouragement and they gain absolute no knowledge as to why a coin is not what they think it is. If you haven't figured out my point after reading this, well cant help you there
just like every other post by a certain few who are convinced that every nick or scrape is a valuable error, or every ink smear and smudge is the same...
Believe me when I say that I am just as anxious to help others when they are willing to help themselves. What is the point of you showing a (bad) video clip that fails to show, conclusively, whether this coin is or isn't a two-headed coin. Your only clear image is that of the edge, but the image of the edge is totally unnecessary. What we need, is a close-up inspection of the inside edge of the rim to provide evidence of whether or not one of the coins has been reamed out. In my opinion, this thread has absolutely no educational benefit for any novice in the hobby. Like @rickmp said, go ahead and send it to PCGS, and I will agree with him that we will probably never hear the outcome when you have wasted your money and learned the bad news. Chris
Thanks everyone for contributing it was fun. Hahaha. Okay back to regular business gotta go post more threads. Still have tons of coins to post. Youre gonna love these chris, the next wave of coins will be nickels. Lol
Be sure to make some of the nickels the 2004-2006 Westward Journey. I have 18,000+ uncirculated in bags, rolls & tubes. Chris
You didn't miss anything. That video had to be the most embarrassing thing OP has ever done. It's no wonder he took it down.
Not embarrassed at all...anyone who wants to see it message me and ill send you link...[emoji2]...there nothing to be embarrassed about if Im not assuming that its an authentic one lol...that would be called low "self esteem" right? Lol...good times
Ill give you a hug later if you really want one...but I usually dont like giving grown men hugs...[emoji41]
Because I've got 18,000+ of them! Those are the years of the Westward Journey nickels.......Peace Medal, Keelboat, Bison, Ocean in View and Return to Monticello. Maybe you have found something that I can look for. Chris
