I have a 1974 Nickel with no mint mark. Is this normal?

yes , your coin was minted in Philadelphia. As a D or S would indicate Denver or San Francisco, only the Philadelphia minted coins do not have a mint mark.

You better believe it! It's a Philly Mint issued nickel.

If you live in the west, it's okay to find it a bit unusual, just as I do to see a D mintmark where I live. But it's normal.
