    Just plated. You can see the Nevada counterstamp. Part of some set probably.

    Plated. And stamped with the outline of Nevada. Quite common back around the bicentennial.

    What does this mean though? I've been searching for it everywhere and can't really find anything similar to this. I am fairly new to pennies and what not so I don't know much.

    It means that tons of companies capitalized on the bicentennial and plated cents with all kinds of crap and stamped them with the 50 states, then sold them for a ton of money over what it actually cost them.
    Basically, what you have is a novelty that someone eventually tossed back into circulation. Fun find, but not worth anything over face value.
