Is that the best you can do with your photo? Is the color accurate? What about an image of the reverse? Why do you need to hold it in one hand while taking the photo? Are you afraid it will fall in the toilet? ~ Chris
Sorry, but your coin was plated after it left the mint. This was a common high school chemistry lab experiment. There are numerous examples of post mint plated coins in the Coin Talk Archives
Please add more photos or change the lighting slightly so we can see more carefully. Then I can vote!
Don't assume it is a mint error because it looks different. First find out what you have. That is an altered Cent.
