    Coins could have a plus or minus weight variance.. the lighter Cent was just probably a planchet that was punched out of a slight rolled thin sheet. Nothing major.

    So.. this will make your poll unnecessary.

    The large date is the 3.5, the mint mark is close to the date.

    I had pulled some 74-S small dates but then I read that they made small and large dates in 1974 in equal numbers.
    3.05 grams is only a tiny bit under weight. With a +/- .13 tolerance
    an acceptable copper cent goes from 2.98-3.24.
    Most will be very close to 3.1 and almost all will be within that range.
