1974 d missing part neck

    That happens due to when they polish the dies to elongate the die's lifespan. When they polish the dies they get rid of surface scratches etc which also may diminish the edges of the devices, such as the neck which is more shallow in that area. Thus you end up with reverse floating roofs, missing necks, etc.
