1974 clipped Quarter?

    Hello again with another error. This one I found a while back and I just want to ask if it is a true clipped and ask what kinda value it has at this grade. I have held onto it for a while and now that I have a usb camera I figured i'd post it 74clip1.jpg 74clip2.jpg 74clip3.jpg

    Yup, a genuine clipped planchet.
    Notice the Blakesly effect directly opposite the clip.

    thank you for looking at this coin I have held it for a while now. As far as value should I post it on what's my coin worth?

    It's unique, I'll give it that. How many clipped 1974 25Cs do you think are out there? Still, these are hard to value. A lot of it, I'll say, just depends on how creatively you market it. Yes, there's a relationship, there.

    It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If you placed it at auction and a couple of bidiots were chasing it, there is no telling what you might get. On the other hand, if nobody was interested, you might only get a dollar for it.
