    i have a 1969-d kennedy that weighs in at 9.5 grams as well...cannot find any info on mine either..

    I could see a Kennedy half minted on a quarter planchet,
    but these coins minted over other coins (and then ALWAYS ending up with the same dealer) are just too suspicious for me.

    @Michael K These are not new finds. Most of the 70s San Francisco proof errors came from a sale by the State of CA after getting approval from the secret service and have been in the market for a while now. I believe that Fred Weinberg bought a lot of these during that sale. For whatever reason, they are now coming back into the market through Mike Byers.
