1973 (?) quarter, error I think?

Hi, I was going through my change one day & came across this. I have never seen anything like it b/4, can any 1 help me please, here are pic-thank u

I agree, someone ground it down, nothing at the mint could make it look like that.

PMD,may have been rolling in a clothes dryer for a while.....

 

Yea a better picture would be nice, but no biggie. It does not look like it has anything to do with the mint.

I can not...but honestly you should just spend it. if you leave any coin in dryer long enough it will have the same effect. like a rock tumbler smoothing out a rock.

 

take a pic of the edge and post it

 

The rims have been filed or ground off. Sometimes people do this to hasten wear for pocket pieces.
