I've had this coin for quite a while and hung onto it because I thought it was neat. Are there any experts out there that can tell me if this coin is the product of hub doubling, or is it worthless machine doubling, or something else entirely?

Shelf doubling, flat step like ledges. No extra value. Check out the first sticky post.

A sticky post is a post that's "pinned" to the top of the forum, so it will always be at the top. In this subforum, Error Coins, there are 2. The first one deals with doubled dies and what is or isn't one.

Machine doubling, mechanical doubling, strike doubling, ejection doubling and now we have shelf doubling.

Thank you guys for the comments. I still have trouble distinguishing between the different types of doubling. But, I learn a little more every day.
