I found a 1972 us penny that has distinct doubling of the date. I have yet to determine what kind of doubling this is, but I wondered if there are many of these out there?
Sherrianna- welcome to the forum. Some of the '72 pennies did have doubling on the obverse(doubled die error), but it was often found on the IN GOD WE TRUST motto, and that sells for about $500 in great condition. But, yours is a doubled die of the date, and that could sell for almost as much if the coin is in good condition. But, as always, a picture helps.
