Look what I found.. I have the 1968 S through the 1971 S.. What luck!! What do yall think about the condition and I don't even want to know if the date is doubled die.. Lol.. yes I do.. haha.. And is that some kind of die error above Liberty .. PS.. Paddy, is there no way to clean the small area on the reverse.. TY
A coin in this condition would be tossed back into circulation by me. I suppose you could use warm water and a cloth and see if its like, dried soda or something. IMO, toss it back and wait for another 1972 S. There are plenty out there..
I’m not seeing any doubling. As far as grade I would put it VF-30 ish. You can try soaking it 100% acetone for a few hours, then rinse it with distilled water and pat it dry.
Okay.. Thanks y'all.. I'm still excited though!! Keeping it because I have been looking for one to pop up.. Well truthfully, lol, I keep everything.. haha.. can't help myself.. TY
TY.. you don't know me MM.. I'm tough!! They couldn't deter me from my coin mission no matter what they said.. believe it or not, I spend hours on end looking at them just because I see a flaw that makes a coin unique.. I apologize for being so outspoken.. But you are one of my faves and have never done anything but teach me something.. I appreciate that..
Acetone may help the reverse. Not a Doubled Die but you already knew that. Thst area around LIBERTY may be a lamination error but it difficult to tell from photos.
Thank you so much!! See, I understand that!! Lol.. sometimes I don't say everything I see because people get mad when it's to long.. Thank you
