1972 misprint dime

    Hi Funny Money. Welcome to coin talk! First thing is that coins are not printed, they are minted so there is no way that this can be a misprint. The only thing I can see is a slight mis aligned die strike which holds no premium. It does look pretty beat up. It's a spender.

    It is also dark in color due to Environmental Damage. Exposure to the elements, chemicals etc. will do this to clad coins.

    As mentioned, not an error of any kind.

    It's surfaces have been damaged after being
    in circulation, and the elements.

    No. No premium for a Misaligned Die Strike.
    It's a very common occurrence especially on Dimes.
