Hello to all again....yes I'm still searching and I am enjoying every minute of it I've come across an interesting 1972 S Lincoln Cent....it looks like the S is stamped over a D possibly another S?? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
heres the site for DDOs http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/dietype.php?date=1972&die_mint=s&die_type=do&page=0
The late 60's and the 70's have multiple problems with mm. Many were MDD, and/or damaged. Photographs are hard to tell , but I don't see any RPM or OMM. here is a 1969 S with more than one MD. If you can't see if they are flattened or sheared, it is hard to tell. And there is damage in the loops of the punch which adds to confusion.
This is a great site to use for searching out your errors: http://www.coppercoins.com/advsearch.phpthe only issue is sometimes it can be time consuming and patiance is a virtue that I have yet to aquire lol.
A 1972 penny and it looks like under my microscope that the s mint mark has been relaunched over a d mint mark.
Did you try the links provided in the previous posts? RPM issues are not worth that much. No huge premium.. Not like hundreds or thousands. They sell for like $2.00 or $3.00
