Looks like a type 2 to me. And it is worth more than a "normal" one. High grades sell for a couple hundred or more.
The coin is definitely a 1972 with the Type 2 Reverse( 1971-S Proof and 1972-S Silver Business Strike and Proof) Typically, these sell for between $25 and $50 in circulated condition. The "doubling" you are seeing on the date is nothing more than machine doubling which is caused when the coin is ejected from the press and typically, this adds no additional premium.
