I just want to add that there are a number of 1972 DDO varieties in addition to the main one shown by rickmp. From the photo I can't tell if it may be one of them.
I'm actually glad you mentioned this, and simply because it's something I had never heard of thought of before. Aside from the spelling differences, it's really not that unreasonable of an assumption for one new or unfamiliar with the hobby.
