I beg to differ about 'beautiful' - it appears to have been dug from the ground and minerals in the soil have reacted with the surface to discolor it. It's a clad coin, so natural toning (as in silver coins) is unusual to see.
I felt that way about the adverse of the coin, but the rev. has the copper showing through. Maybe it helps being color blind. But thank you.it will probably help me see it through others eyes. Thank you.
I do appreciate the input, I'm making children's tables with coins under glass, to let them have fun an to learn.
As others have said, it's suffered environmental damage and has no numismatic value. As long as you understand that, then who cares what others think of the appearance. Save what you like and do whatever you want with them
Thanks all of you, I want to be able to add small coin facts in at some point, That is why I ask you for input. Education an making a difference in someone's life.
