1971 Quarter Doubling?

    It's an interesting quarter. Finding this date with so little wear is quite difficult because almost all are worn and because the mintage was low to start with.

    I'd guess it spent many years out of circulation in a mildly corrosive environment like under a washing machine. I don't consider it "collectible" because of the tarnish but it's still interesting.

    Just watch these guys. Thier wit is unmatched.( I dont know why I'm saying THEY when I'm included.) We might mess with you, but the knowledge is immense. You'll learn stuff from the people on this site that you won't get anywhere else.
    The other sites are a joke.so bring your coins and your questions. And have a good time .

    I’ve learned so much already! My questions probably seem pretty silly to those with a lot more knowledge and experience, but I’m trying to learn and hopefully with practice be able to start recognizing unique coins instead of just common damaged ones. Love this site and all of the knowledge!
