Your still gone and have been reported.
This is a family oriented forum and you broke one of the biggest rules.

Glue, melted plastic, or some other adhered material. Regardless what it is, people were trying to tell you that it IS NOT a mint error.

So, once again. What is your theory to explain how this occurred at the US mint?...………..Crickets.

BTW: One of the worlds (yes, worlds) foremost mint error dealers responded to your question. Getting this kind of feedback is an unbelievable learning experience. But you seem to be throwing it away and that's a shame. Your loss.

I have no idea how this could have happened at the mint, but its not glue ive been staring at this thing through a loop for an hour trying to figure out what it is. there is a star minted onto several of these dots you guys think are glue.... so if it didn't happen at the mint the only thing I can think of is that someone dropped a pinch of acid on it. its all metal, no glue at all.

everything is raised, maybe a die deterioration? lots of metal strings all over the coin.

sorry for the grumpiness earlier, I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed, but I still believe I have something, everything is metal. no signs of glue, I'm inexperienced somewhat but I have found 15+ error coins since I started hunting. I know a few things.

One of the country's foremost experts has already chimed in. If you are still convinced there is nothing else to do but send it in for attribution, but there is no possible answer except something adhered to the coin.

I'm no expert it my untrained eye can see some yellowing in the second set of pictures. They yellowing would only happen from a foreign substance like glue or something else.

I rubbed it on there as to not damage the coin to bad incase I have something. apparently you're suppose to let it sit in there
