1971 Jefferson nickel, what is this error?

    Welcome to Coin Talk. I'm agree with a planchet defect (Lamination). I don't know enough to say if the delamination occurred before of after the strike. I'd like to see what @mikediamond or @Fred Weinberg has to say about it.
