1971 D Kennedy, two part question

Double Die I know just enough to be dangerous

I have this Kennedy half that looks like the two different clad layers are too different. The obverse is bright and crisp where as the reverse is dull and lacks any luster whatsoever even under the little bit of haze. The part 2 is the eagle... is this a struck through grease or something else? The shield is dull and there are no details to be made out from the shield up?
This is fresh from a mint set and fully uncirculated if that has any bearing.

It's fresh from a Mint Set that is about 47 years old, and the cello wrap does little to protect the coins from heat and moisture. It's not unusual to find one side affected like this. Some Kennedys from this period are known for a weak strike.

    The 'haze' looks like PVC,
    even though you mention
    it's from a Mint Set.

    The Eagle looks weakly/softly
struck, as that's the center of
the design, and most prone to
    weak strikes.

No error, from what I can see.
