Doesn't look like it to me. But the pic is not very clear. Compare to these: http://www.lincolncentresource.com/smalldates/1970Ssmalldate.html
Here is two pics. The one on the left is the one I thought was a small date do to the location of the mm. Sorry I do not have better pics, using my phone, lol
The one on top is the one I am speaking of. If you look at both coins, the MM is in a different place. Is that common?
I was just looking at the link you sent Michael. That was very helpful, and I see neither is a small date. But what is up with the mm? That I am curious about?
In 1970 the Mintmark was hand-punched onto each die. It is common for them to vary from coin to coin.
Usually with the small date, the curl on the 9 comes WAY around. When it points to the bottom of the 7, it's usually a large date. Also the 0 in the small date is smaller and thicker. The large date is thinner and more of an oval. But these are subtle and difficult to pick up. LIBERTY is a good indicator. Murky on small date and crisper on large.
Just in case you have not seen this before.http://www.lincolncentresource.com/smalldates/1970Ssmalldate.html
If you are roll searching it is important to know they hand punched all dies until 1990. They also used the same punches for all denominations.
