Very nice, but I could swear there was another "tell" that is escaping me right now. I have a 1970-S SD proof SET in my collection, but none in a TPG holder. I have a MS66RD SD business strike from NGC that I "found" in a BU roll, plus a few other 64's and 65's.
From www.errorvariety.com... It should be noted that the 1970S Small Date should have all of the diagnostics as opposed to just one or be slabbed by a TPG. LIBERTY could be mushy on a Large Date due to die wear or other factors. The height of the 7 in the date tends to be interuptible depending on the photograph used (or the imagination of the seller). Large dates are erroneously sold as Small Dates on eBay on a daily basis – take caution.
I agree with every bit of that, and it is why I say there are at least 4 varieties, and not just two.
