1970 S penny is this sm or lg date

    Thank you, for the photos however I'm having a hard time telling. I have a lot of these and most dont really look like either of the examples. So maybe if I knew which one this is I cud go off that.

    If you would examine the photos you will always be able to tell.
    On the small date the curl of the 9 bends around more, and on the large date it doesnt. The inside part of the curl on the 9 is sharp on the small date and blunt on the large date. On the small date the 7 is high and on the large date it is low.
    On business strikes (not proofs) LIBERTY is almost always weakly struck on the small date and well struck on the large date.
    If you read this post and look at the photos posted and look at your coin, you will see what you have.
