1970 S Lincoln Cent DDO?

    My 14 yr old just found this in our pile of pennies we are searching.
    It's a shame it's so destroyed. He had noticed it because of the thick rim.

    Hot! 85 degrees.. I see there is a huge snow storm hitting NYC.. worried about my family :jawdrop:

    It appears to be MDD rather than a DDO due to flat appearance of the secondary. Also I suspect it is not a RPM since the MM doubling effect is in the same direction and amount as the rest. Also the doubling effect of RPM-001 is more vertical (North) whereas the doubling here is more North-East. Jim

    Your coin as stated is PMD post mint damage) normally from my understanding when the mint mark and date are doubled it's MD ( machine doubling) IMO
