1970 s large or small date?

    It's a large date with absolutely no doubling that I can see. When people are new at searching they always tend to lean towards finding the rarest and most valuable coins. They are rare and valuable for a reason. They aren't abundantly available to find. For example, I've been searching and collecting for over 20 years. I've never found a small date in circulation. I'm not saying they aren't out there, just extremely rare. Right now you're at the point that you stare at something long enough you see whatever you want. Read and learn about the minting process and you will look at coins in a different light.

    Even if we looked through a bag a day forever, it's like a drop in the bucket compared to the number of coins that have been minted, especially in the more modern times.
