1970 S coin

    Oh my goodness I am almost affraid to continue this thread. I am new here so please be patient. Here it goes.
    In the link that Jello provided, it references two types of "s"s.
    One is refered to as a "Serif" s.
    The other as a "tall" s.
    The tall "s" is pictured in the area between the 9 and the 7, AND above the botom of the 9.
    The Serif "s" is far enough belowthe 9 so the 9 is not in the picture.
    Here's my questions:
    Is this significant?
    Is one type more rare than the other?
    Is one type more valuable than the other?
