Hello fellow members, I am new here and relatively new to coin collecting. I found a 1970 Lincoln cent this am that has a definite doubled die on the date. I did a google search and could only find 70 s and d. I will try to figure out how to post a pic later today.
My question is if it is not a listed doubled die, does it mean it cannot be titled a doubled die?
    Thanks,
    Bill

Its a hard call on that one because the picture is not the greatest. From what I see it appears flat and shelf like, most likely meaning its machine doubling. A better picture could help more but remember I am by no means an expert.

    I agree, machine doubling.

While the pic is not the best, the "shelving" appears pretty obvious, so I agree with the rest; machine doubling. However, keep on looking and you'll find the real deal, it took me quite a while before I got the hang of it and even then, I still have to look more than once at times:):):)
