No no no! What you meant to say was struck on Dime Stock. Not on a Dime Planchet. There is a huge difference! Here are 2 examples from my collection - 1969 & 1970

Well that makes sense, that’s bigger. I’m not saying this one’s it, IDK, but can see it happening. Just not over a planchet.
It is about the correct weight and the year 1970 is when many of these errors were found.. I say that there is a great chance that it is a mint error. @Eric the Red Looks like you have a good example of Quarter on Dime Stock.
Same metal composition. No other way to dx it than by under-tolerance weight for the quarter. The dime stock is going to be more metal than is in the dime.
