1970 D quarter help

    Hi everyone
    I found this 1970 D quarter in a coin roll looking at it has me thinking matrix lol because of the dotted lines going up and down reversr and observe then i cant say for sure but it could be die clash thanks for your help. Ok on the bridge of the nose looks to be wing feathers

    Ha.. Yes it does make it look like the Matrix!

    But I believe it is PMD - Post Mint Damage

    Meow thinks it was corroded in the past, and that corrosion has now worn off leaving the pitted pattern. Like how it looks when you sand a rusty panel.

    No corrosion still shiny these spots and lines go under and over all devices except rim

    Sorry but it's PMD. Either environmental (corrosion) or some sort of mechanical damage. Your coin looks like it has a lot of wear. Bottom line is there is no way that type of pattern could occur during the minting process
