1970 D Cent - Struck Through Retained or Lamination?

    Extra silver color blob on the back of Lincoln’s jacket. Struck through retained, lamination or something else? Same height as surrounding area. Weight - 3.2g.

    I can always count on you around this time!
    If a flake or piece of metal were to be struck through, could it even stick in like that and become part of the cent?

    I’ve seen little silvery specs embedded in a few cents and one about half this size that rubbed off.

    Yup, I was thinking solder too. Probably more tin than silver type but still the same.

    Well, I actually do electronic component repair. Might as well see if I can get it to reflow..
