I found this 1970 cent and its much smaller then other 1970 cents and the rim is mu ch thicker then others also and it has a very red dish tint to it on both sides, can anyone tell me anything about this coin or if its an error coin? Any info would be great. Thank you

Spooned coin, someone beat the edge down and flattened it out with something like a hammer or a spoon.

It looks like a bezeled coin but i don't think it is. The edge is almost a perfect roll around, I think it was stuck in the water pump of a washing machine.
    Can you weight it?

    Science experiment I'd guess.

Spooned. Look at how the edge is over taking the date and other inscription. It is rolling over.

It does look like someone was mabey trying to make a ring out if it. Does it hold any kind of value to it? Thank you for all the replys. You guys are very helpful when I need info on a coin.

Just another damage coin, Sorry. Not every coin that looks like your coin is a Spooned Coin.
