    Reverse looks like product of alteration! However, still cannot explain the obverse from photo. Post on Collectors Universe.

    Welcome to CT. Glad to hear you described this correctly. It's called a squeeze job. I just purchased a penny that was squeezed for a buck since I didn't have one. :)

    There are a few things which simply don't_add_up for me about this coin. It's misaligned; have a look above BER. The overstrike details are strong to the original rim but don't penetrate to the "second" rim. How could a vice job do that?

    Not saying it isn't PMD, but evidence for doubt exists.
