Rodney Cole I do not keep foreign coins.

I found this to be interesting but I may just toss it back into the pond. What do you think?

From your post it appears that you know it's not the valuable DDO. Just mechanical doubling. No added value. it looks like it's in nice shape, so nothing wrong with saving it, or spending it

Growing up as a collector in the east, finding an S mint coin was always special, so I would keep it for that reason.

Before you throw it back into the pond, use a Dremel tool with a small burr tip and etch into the coin, "It is not a DDO!" ~ Chris

It's only worth a cent but if it's that nice that you need to ask us you should just keep it.

Leave it to your heirs to figure out keep them guessing. You could rest happy knowing you left them something, yeah!

That is real machine doubling, first 69 -S I've seen that is this bad.

I purchased an entire collection from and estate sale auction here in Arkansas. It ended up being four large Rubbermaid tubs filled to the lid. I'll be busy for a while.

That's known as a misaligned die, not a true off center

I have a fondness for San Fran mintmarks, so I'd keep it, but that's just me.

I only have found maybe 5 69’s in a few years. I would keep it. Plus it’s better then any of mine
