I got a group of proof Jeffersons yesterday, and found this

    1969S satin.jpg 1969S_rev satin.jpg

    1969S proof.jpg 1969S_rev proof.jpg

Both are proofs but the top one clearly has a satin finish to it. Were there 2 different issues of proofs from the mint that year?

Their is some Satin finish stikes in Nnc Smithstionium display but getting 1 would be very very rare!
But Nothing impossible. If one could cost a lot to get a Tpg to Agree too a grade of Sp-6?

Coin World August issue has the Nnc Smithstionium collection . They have a Satin finish. So finding one would be very very rare Finding. But Nothing impossible but getting a Tpg to agree???.
Here one of the photo in issue I don't want to get copyright issues that's why it's cropped a lot and only one.but asap it will be on the free RRS Google reader with all the grades Ngc graded them. uploadfromtaptalk1375411012285.jpg

yeah, I saw that article the other day. A Kennedy 1968-D on the cover. Good article, I had to smile when I saw you mentioned it.

Not to sound to dumb (which I am sometimes :)) but from the original answer, which one is it that is the more cameo finish? I'm still trying to get a handle on that...

The more contrast between the fields and the devices = deeper cameo.
So, the first one is more cameo. Frosty devices with mirror fields.

I do not see a Satin type of finish on either of the coins shown in the OP.
Satin refers to a finish that looks like it has been sand blasted.

I brought up the Nnc collection at the Smithstoneian . They have found out the US mint was striking a Sp finish . That was sent to the Nnc collection.

What I was saying is that both of those appear to be normal proof strikes to me back then now all of the proofs came out deep cameo.
