Nooooooooooooo! That is a very bad example! Floating roofs do not carry such a huge premium. That's some fool who is trying to sucker someone out of their money. Totally ridiculous! NO WAY! As a collector I would not pay more than $1.00 for such an issue.
What I am trying to tell you is the answer to the question you asked.. If there was any value above face? the other member gave you an ebay listing stating that it is worth $350.00 and I am stating that is totally wrong.. Understand now? I'm trying to help
look at the picture I provided. It was from the ebay listing that the other member provided. The person is selling it for $350.00. I am stating that it is not worth anything near that. But I'm glad I was able to help
By the way.. That is an excellent example of a Floating Roof. It looks amazing! It is caused by an over-polished die.
Sorry guys, MY BAD! I meant to point that out. Bad example, thanks Paddy! Don't anyone buy that coin!!
YES MA'AM As paddy points out , you DO have a floating roof cent. As for that huge link, that is probably one of the longest links I have ever seen, but if you click on the first line of it, it does work, but it only takes you to that ridiculous eBay page that offers an EXTREMELY OVERPRICED example of what you already have, and in fact, yours is better anyway.
The trouble is that is an auction with no bidders. Anyone can ask any amount of a coin. BUT if you look at SOLD auctions you get more of the valuation of them ... NOTE - the middle one is a S over S Mint mark one so value is higher.
The seller reduced the price! This guy is a character! He only has two items listed. He's hoping to make a killing on these two pennie's!
