Yes! If you asked a Q about a coin and got 20 of the same answers would you still be hard headed and continue to call long time collectors wrong as you think you know everything? IF you know it all why post a question in the first place.???
And really - nobody got "pricky" until the OP started in on them first!

That was edited in after the fact. It wasn't there on the first post.

I note that now - we can't see what was edited in/out after the fact - which justifies your original skepticism. I'm still irritated by how easily the experienced people around here "rise" to an argument, especially after robec settled the issue once and for all less than two hours after the initial post.

I Have found that when people are certain they have something that they don't, and won't take no for an answer then others "rise" to the occasion. It makes me think that some OP is trying to fool people on here to buy their coin or something. Also when it's slow around here people tend to talk more.
Sometimes I find a minor doubled die and post it on here. I get no replies and a bunch of views. It makes me think I need to post a damaged coin, and refuse to admit the damage to get a conversation going. Haha

And if you knew anything about this individual, perhaps you wouldn't be so quick to defend him. This isn't the first go-round with this guy, or the second, third, fourth, or maybe even fifth (or more), on this very same subject. Claiming 69-S DDOs is what he does, has been doing since the very start if his time here, and it always goes south not because of the "attackers", but because of the OP himself. If he can show so little respect for the board, he also can get what he deserves.

I have a 1993-D double dye dubled ear! Is it worth a lot?
All opinions will be considered. I have a new theory of a new type of error that until my research was recently completed had never been known to the likes of man.
An old friend had to teach-mind until he could see the dots and vigorously defend himself against attacks from the know nothings on these threads..

Here are more photo's. Let's see if we can get this out of our heads first see if we can all agree at the very least that the device is not a normal 1969 S. Please, use your exp. Come on guy's seriously do you really need a 99.9% matching to be able to confirm. Enthusiast's such as yourselves me (excluded) If this is so when do you ever put your experience into usage? I'm concerned if this is the case MY LITTLE 3 YEAR OLD NIECE is an Enthusiast, she is pro at matching and organizing gift cards tic for tac when is 99.9% identical matched she does not need my help! :0 impressive ya think? LOL , okay more photo's the first image is a 1969 S its the actual coin posted in speaking. The second and third image is also 1969 S's some few that I've collected over the years and what I think is normal. Agree? All three coin belongs to me but only 1 may be of significant. Thanks you guys

For it to be the big one, it absolutely does have to match the diagnostics exactly.

The images are good enough to say that this coin is not a DDO.
When you gain the experience you will understand.

No, it needs to be 100%. Conclusively, it's not the "Big One."

Doesn't mean it's "nothing," a fact which has yet to be determined to the level of precision numismatics requires. First, though, you need to know that - in Ken Potter's opinion, and I trust his opinion - 1969-S is one of the very most common Lincolns to appear with strike doubling (which is "nothing"), and some of that strike doubling can be pretty major. Here's an MD example, from Ken's website:

Yes, edited 3 minutes after the 1st comment that was posted.

Thank you SuperDave, I really appreciate what you're saying you must be a good fella. Honestly, if you ask me I think the issue here is that ppl are miss-interpreting the definition of opinion. So, because of this many times members in their response to OP's question is really not a form of THEIR OPINION but more a statement of truth (may be) but because most of the time without any supporting evidence/facts. So, I think I can guess what OP's reaction may be on the kind of response and I quote " YOUR TRUTH!" hehe lol and so it begins. what do ya think?
