I really think I have something here, I know I always do but this time I really really do think I do. I know 69 S probably isnt going to be my first DD but how freakin cool it would be right?
I like your persistence. Here is some information for you and others to compare - http://www.varietyvista.com/01b LC Doubled Dies Vol 2/1969SDDO002.htm
Why does the coin from variety Vista look so much different from the coin that is listed on coppercoins.com?http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1969&die_id=1969s1do002&die_state=mds
Maybe it is because the two services used two different coins for their specimens. Also, I wish you would identify your photos from the plate photos instead of posting image after image after image after image after image after image after image after image after image........let's see.......How many images did you post? Do you get my drift drift drift drift drift drift?
I posted images to help identify a my coin as just as yall told me to do. I didnt know uploading photos was a problem there are only 4 images to identify it on coppercoins.com and I had to post the photos of my coin so that yall can see. I just dont know what else I could have done and why do yall say not again? It seems though are annoyed with what I post and I really dont like to be a burden so I appreciate anyone who sincerely answered my questions and tried to help me to expand my knowledge but I think im just going to quit this whole forum thing. I dont even know why you would post pictures from variety Vista which like you say is a different coin. My title reeds 1DO - 002 not DDO- 002 and I don't even know if that makes a difference or not, but I do know the coin you posted to correct me is double the wrong way it doesn't even match direction of doubling on my coin but whatever yall can have it.
The biggest problem I have is that you include photos of the coin from a site showing the doubling, die markers etc, and next to them are your atrocious, over pixellated close ups that are nothing like the genuine attributed coin. And no, close is not the same as exactly the same
I think most would prefer just three or four photos to show your coin rather than several of the same shot. Because there has been a member that has posted multiple 1969S coins, convinced they found the golden egg (FS-01-1969S-101) and it became tiresome when they refused to accept other members answers. I have no interest in finding DD so have no opinion on your coin. If you believe you have the 1DO-002, send it in for authentication (different from having it graded) and see what they say, and please post the results when you have it. Good luck.
Ok well tell me that you cant see my pictures however on my end its clear and I use a hand held so I see it without pixelation. Had I not matched all die marks exactly myself and didnt know any better id have thrown this coin in the bank deposit pile not that someone that didnt know what they were doing would even have a bank deposit pile im just saying.
Well, until your images can be seen clearly by all it's your word against the majority. I really don't see why you can't just take close up in focus pics of the areas with a cell phone.
