1969 d Lincoln memorial penny with a 1969 equador 5 centavos

  1. 1969 d. Lincoln memorial penny with a 5 centavos struck on it ......somebody bust my bubble and tell me it's not so.....can anybody help me identify it......

    I don't think so.. What makes you think that is? o_O
    Looks like a normal Cent to me.

    There were no Ecuador 5 Centavos in 1969

  4. It's hard to see in the pics but it's plainly u can see the shield from just below liberty to in God we trust clearly see centavos on the obverse .... Let me see if I get some better pics..

    hmm
    a 1969 5 centavos coin is 17 mm diameter I think made of nickel (newer ones are 21.2mm made of steel)
    and a US cent is 19.05mm diameter copper
    can you say "splat" ...
     
  7. It's not a wrong plachet it's struck on the penny....it's on a penny plachet...
     
  8. Well where does the word equador come from it's plain as day but I looked in pics on here it's hard to see

    yes, you are stating a
    US Penny was US minted on a US penny planchet
    then it was "minted" .. "partially minted" then on a centavos minting machine without somehow upsetting the US design ...

    1969 d specs are the same both minted in Denver at the same time and it's clearly visible
