    I have a 1968 s penny the brest of lincoln is touching the rim no space is that considered off center

    Normal, the master dies were suffering a lot of spread from overuse, that was why they redid the master hubs in 1969 moving all the devices back away from the rim.

    @Willysilver. Put your 1968 next to a nice looking 1969. You can't miss the change to the master hub.

    Remember that when you are looking at cents from the mid 60's. A lot of strange looking things may be related to the old master hub and is not an error
