    Could be altered.
Maybe it's not a 65, maybe it was a 68 that took a hit. (Or something.)

I found a 1968 Jefferson nickel when you turn it over Monticello is upside down and the out side rim is very sharp and the coin looks like it is polished and does have the mint S all writing and Jefferson is very detailed could someone let me know what I have and how much it is worth.

You should start your own thread. With photos of both sides of your coin.

The recent posts are concerning a post in the middle of the thread from late 2017 and not the original post.

Since it's now 2018, would not a post from 2017 constitute a necropost?

Ouch. This is going to sound, excuse me, SCREAM! MEAN. DUUUHHHH. DUH. there are MILLIONS of no mint marks. It's so depressingly obvious to look up and read WHY AND WHAT the P, D, and S marks are even for! Unbelievable, to be in q world of people who have access to the information yet still have to ask!? Omg. Small or large don't matter, stupid is painful small groups or large. Ouch. Ok ban me.

Beg to differ. According to my 2020 Red Book, there were over 100 million no date nickels minted. Red Book does not list a "P" if there is no mintmark which means they were minted in Philadelphia. Check out the 1968 lincoln cent in the Red Book. Does that mean there were no Philadelphia cents in that year? Of course not.

The US Mint in Philadelphia did not produce any nickels in 1968.

This info is from coinsite.com And, there are other sources stating that no nickels were made at the Philadelphia Mint in 1968, 69, 70.
The "Over 100 million 'no date' nickels" you refer to all had the S mint mark on them as they were minted in San Francisco.
