Sorry for being rude and saying things how they were, and finding it a little funny. There may come a point in time where you look back at this and find it funny too. Hoping you'd see the funny side rather the negitive side

With all due respect, you are childish for even bring this up with me. Your Tactics are like fighting fire with fire. That will put out the fire, and expecting no fire in return. Childish

I have Half a roll of these 1968 cent that look like yours. I have not yet been able to figure them out. They are well struck, like High Relief. But the odd thing is that the design is so close to the edge, the "R" in trust is flat on top. I can see why you are asking about a Large Date. The only thing that comes to mind is some kind of
Die Spread due to a soft Die? I have No verification of such a thing happening,
but I do believe that it is posible. Thanks for posting your coin. The "69" was nice to have to show the difference with the date distance.

IMHO, The OP did not mess anything up. I believe the 1969 coin was shown to give an example of date to edge distance. If I can slow down and look at something
in a contructive manner I can learn more. I try to make all my post to be Helpful.
If I dont think I can be helpfull, I Don't Post.
I know your young and excited about coins, but I do find most of your posts a bit inmature and shooting from the hip. Two eyes one Mouth.

Wow. I'm just gonna not post, if that's how I am viewed. I'll take your advice cause most of the time I am viewed by you guys as immature anyways. Whatever. See it how you want. I'm done being chastised by you guys because I state my opinion. love it. When older ppl act immature no one comes to my bat. It's always just hush hush. You guys are ridiculous even sayin. And it's funny how you say "if it's not helpful, I don't post" and say " but I do find your posts to be immature." Shake my head... you really said that in the same paragraph.. How long does it take for you to learn that there is an ignore button? If you think I am immature i think it's best you take that rout. I thought you guys were cool till you jump my gun for having fun. Ment no harm. Whatever. See how much I post here anymore

Charles Daughtrey (coppercoins) wrote a bit about this year. The master design was decades old at this point and showing it's age. The details of the bust were mushy and the motto merged with the rim on a typical 1968 cent. In 1969 the mint re-engraved the design.

I liked what Idhair said, and saved me some typeing too. I thought of this today and remembered someone saying that the dies where revamped/ updated in 1969.
It does show when the 68" and the 69" are compared together.
