Hi, this is my first post and I just read through the FAQ, so I hope my title is appropriate. Anyway, I just started out and I found this 1968-D that I think has an error with "in god we trust" at the top. Not entirely sure how to evaluate it, so any help would be appreciated!
Need better pictures to determine, best I can tell from the picture, looks like some wear on the edge, its a normal 1968 D in my opinion. welcome to CT.
Closer is better, for future purpose, I blew up your coin in a different window, it appears to be a normal coin with some wear on it.
Welcome to Coin Talk. Larger, clear photos would be appreciated. From the photos you posted it looks like a damaged coin. (The rim above IN GOD WE TRUST). Maybe a die chip between the L and I of LIBERTY.
It seems to be a pretty common error on Denver pennies (like every year in the 60s) where the lettering IN W Trust appears higher than the letters God and E. Perhaps that's what your refering to? If so it adds no extra value to the coin.
