1968 D penny. Could this be an RPM?

I came across this penny which seems to have a much thicker D than other pennies. I know there is a 1968 D RPM in the cerrypickers guide, but I don't really see any doubling on the mint mark here. I was just wondering what you guys think. It looks like it took a hit somewhere along the way. PMD to me.

PMD (Post Mint Damage) IMO. Looks like the D took a hit.
