    Are you suggesting that the mint made one special die with the letters spaced a few microns further apart than the rest of the dies? Is that what you are proposing?

    Edit - Also, why dont you measure the space and compare against a "regular" cent? Answer your own question.

    1968 was the last year for the 1916 hub and was just awful. The coin you are showing looks like it was in the ground for a while and is no error.
