Pulled a 1911 and this 1967 a minute ago. Did the rookie finally get an error?!?! Thanks CT Crew 1548069794786.jpg 1548069836726.jpg 1548069900416.jpg

    Maybe.. Clipped Planchet
Always show a picture of the edge.
(Don't use tweezers to do so)

A pic of the edge would go a long way here, but in the second pic of the obverse, I think I see the tell tale mark of the use of nippers.

They both look good to me, A clipped Planchet should still have a Cut & Tear edge at the site of the Clip. And some will have the Blakesley Effect opposite the Clip.
It is hard to get the light to reflect just right off the edge.

why does the rim look like it was pushed in slightly versus being clipped off?
The rim looks to exist beyond the inside of the curvature of where it would be.
maybe i'm just seeing things .. early in the morning.

With the new pics of the edge, I change my mind.

How about the bottom 2 pics edge pictures? That's actually a 1941 Lincoln that I found within 10 minutes. I should have put up a new thread. Appreciate you guys. 1 for 24... Solid batting avg for the rook. Lol

They both look like clipped planchets to me.
