1967 dime clip

    I'm not to sure about that one. Such a small clip would not cause the Blakesley Effect.
    Looks artificial.

    It's damage. A clip would be perfectly round and the same diameter as the coin itself. Try putting another dime into the 'clip' and you'll see.

    I’m here to learn. If someone produced this effect then put it into circulation they went to a lot of trouble for nothing. CRH for me

    The clip and the blakesley aren't 90 from each other. Also there is a lot of smoothing to the clip area, and rim under IGWT.

    I have to agree. This looks like it was made after it left the Mint. I don't think another dime would match up to the clip, which it should.
