1966 Washington error quarter

    Found this weird 1966 quarter about a year ago. Ive been coin collecting for about 10 years now and have never seen anything like this edge

    looks normal to me for a clad quarter from 1966 it's the copper coating edge they went from silver to copper in 1965 all quarters minted after 1964 have it.

    value is 25 cents or if your lucky someone might pay more.

    That is PMD. Some chemicals can eat away part of the edge to expose the copper core. We've had quite a few clad coins like this posted here before.

    Yeah, soak it in vinegar for that effect.
