    Look like a dryer or spooned coin. It has been repeatedly struck on the edge.

    Yes its very odd the feel and the color so is it an error or post damaged?

    It's one of those Lincoln's that let itself go and got fat after it left the mint.

    Looking at the rim, I'm sure you recognized that it was damaged and not an error. Other than the rare member that can time travel to see what happened to that coin, we will never know, but it is still just a damaged Lincoln cent.
