I think your collection is very impressive, you’re doing a great job!

Before you send anything to a TPG (third party grader like ANACS, PCGS or NGC), try to justify the cost. For example, an Eisenhower $ may only be valued at $30 and tacking on grading fees would result in you not recouping that cost. Most members here agree a minimum value to slab is approx. $150-200 to justify slabbing.

On the other hand, if you have coins that inspired you, are exceptionally pretty or hold an emotional quality (belonged to your Mom or Dad), then absolutely forge ahead and get them slabbed. Bottom line is it’s your collection, and to heck with what others may say…imo…Spark

I agree with you, I've also seen a lot of this and I was very upset. I used to enjoy seeing coins in all their details, but lately I'm losing interest. It is very difficult to see a feature in a currency that is extremely similar to what is officially accepted as an error or variation, and to see it being discarded because it was not put on the list by the expert. I'm seriously considering selling all my coins and giving up this hobby that I really enjoy..

Excellent comment @Spark1951. Thanks for your great tips. One of the Eisenhowers I removed from Slab to resend to PCGS because it is a double variant, but unfortunately I can't send it from Brazil to PCGS because the costs are too high and the coin can be held in customs and not even reach them. And after I removed it from the slab that I figured out that PCGS charges an even higher amount to do the error or variant classification.

@Wal888 …all I can say is do not be dissuaded. “When the goin’ gets tough the tough get goin”. Do what is right for you. If you have to go the xtra mile then wear out your shoes. Don’t let “them” win. It’s a test of your character. Many times you have to face barriers. It’s up to you to figure out how to go over, to the side or underneath to get past them. Go give ‘em a fight!…imho…Spark

Thank you all. Today I waked up something better. Found a 2013 10 Centavos and figured out the Reverse is "batida dupla" Doubled Die. I'll open a new Thread and post it.
